Neo Nazis Shoot Dead Prosecuter

The prosecutor in the case against neo-Nazis killed
he attack happened Thursday.

Mark Hasse (57) had parked his car and was on his way into the courthouse in the small town of Kaufman, Texas, when a man shot him repeatedly.


The offender was then picked up by a car that disappeared from the place at high speed, said Pat Laney, a spokeswoman for the police.

- We are actively looking for them, says Laney.

She adds that the perpetrator or perpetrators' identities are not yet known.

Both the courthouse and area schools were closed while police looked for the culprit and escape the car in Kaufman, a town of about 7,000 inhabitants.

Aryan Brotherhood originated as a gang in San Quentin prison in California in the 1960s and is believed to consist of about 15,000 members in and out of American prisons.

Members are extreme rightists, and deeply involved in criminal activity, and the jewelry often with swastikas and other Nazi symbols.
